My son is a great song writer and singer. Where can he sell his music (Rock- Metal)?
My son writes heavy metal, rock, and even an occasional christian rock song. He has his music downloaded onto DVD.
Not writing this to sound like an jackass (donkey, chill people) but how do we know your not being biased simply because he is your son? If it was me writing that music would you say the same thing? The best way to help him is to truthfully tell him if it sounds good or bad. Im a musician and I know alot of other musicians who play different instruments and we all say the best way to get better is to have constructive, yet honest critisim.
Now if he is as good as you think, dont even think about sending any demos to any big labels any time soon, theyll use them as coasters without even listening to it. First he has to get a name for himself, that means playing shows and touring his pants off. Once he makes a name for himself, seek out an indy label that secializes in metal and hard rock. Those labels that sign all sorts of music arent interested in your son as much as they are money, the metal only labels atleast care about him.
