Melodic Hard Rock
Best guitar for a beginner like me?
Alright, I know there have been a billion questions like this, but we're all unique. Basically, I want to get a really good guitar, and my budget is $300. I am a complete beginner with no experience looking to jump right in. I know I could get one of those guitar packs, but half the stuff I don't really want or need, and I know I'd be better off putting more money towards the actual guitar and picking up an amp on Craigslist or even for free from a friend. I have been looking at a lot of guitars, but they're so close together that it's kind of given me a headache with all the choices. What would you guys recommend? I am very open-minded, and I am looking to play more melodic metal and hard rock music. Thank you.
Okay I agree totally with the other two, but here's a thought:
What about starting on an acoustic first? Yes, I KNOW you want to "rock out", but my boyfriend started with acoustic, and now his electric is SO much better!
Electric is in general a bit easier to play than acoustic, from what I've heard, so starting with the hard one will be beneficial.
Look at Ibanez and Gibson, they're brilliant!
